An utterly goooorgeous antique Edwardian 9ct gold sapphire and seed pearl pendant necklace, dating to the early 20th century. This wonderfully elaborate and substantial piece features a large openwork floral pendant, centred by a rich blue round-cut sapphire and framed by eight delicate petal-shaped sections, each beautifully set with little seed pearls. The floral centrepiece is complemented by an ornate outer frame, alternating with further pearls and sapphires to create a 'starburst' effect, while additional seed pearls decorate the bale above. The pendant also has a pin back so that it can be worn as a brooch rather than pendant, if preferred. Even the 17" belcher-link chain is adorable, accented with four further seed pearls at spaced-out intervals. Divine!
