An utterly gorgeous Edwardian 9ct gold ruby and diamond bangle. Dating to 1903, this exquisite antique piece features an elaborate openwork design in rich rose gold, with beautiful Etruscan Revival influences. At the centre sits a decorative elongated panel featuring four rich crimson-red rubies interspersed with three sparkling rose-cut diamonds, all placed within dreamy star-shaped settings. The panel is framed by finely scalloped edges, with gorgeous graduated gold beadwork above and below, while sweet fan-shaped floral ornaments adorn each shoulder. The openwork design leads to a classic gold bang, complete with a hinged fastening and safety chain for extra security. Weighing an impressive >10 grams and bearing historic Chester hallmarks, this is a truly special piece of Edwardian jewellery, perfect for collectors of charming antique treasures and fine jewellery!
